Renee's Adoptables; Meet Georgia!

Meet Georgia!

Seven-month-old Georgia is a mixed-breed female who is looking for a family that is ready to grow with her in an adventurous and exciting environment. Georgia came to us from another rescue in Louisiana thanks to CHS' partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation. Now she is ready to run and play in your backyard!

The family that Georgia is looking for must have a home where she can play with another adventurous and high-energy pup. Georgia is wagging her tail at the thought of sharing a bond with adults and children over the age of twelve who are gentle and respectful of pets in a single-family home or condo. She still has a lot to learn about being a dog and will need to continue her obedience training. Gorgeous Georgia is available in Newington.

About CT Humane Society

Way back in 1881, a Hartford High School senior named Gertrude O. Lewis wanted to find a way to help animals of Connecticut. She gathered support in her community – including some of Connecticut’s most prominent citizens of the time – and that very same year, Gertrude founded the Connecticut Humane Society.

And all these years later, the work continues. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, serving thousands of pets every year. As an independent nonprofit organization, CHS does not receive any funding from the government and is not associated with any national animal welfare groups. The pets rely solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
